Thirty-five-year-old Waverley Litchfield, manager of vintage-inspired fashion boutique, Right! A Dress, in Tasmania, is sure that it does. She’s seen it happen plenty of times.

But Waverley’s customers seem way more challenging of late – eight women (and one man) all grappling with some of the toughest crises that life can throw at you: eating disorders; health scares and ageing; obsessions, compulsions and addictions; stereotypes, and misplaced allegiances.

However, it seems that Waverley has not lost her touch …

When each customer buys a special frock from her, it sets in train a domino effect of encounters that completely transform all their lives.

But what about Waverley’s own demons?

Is it even possible that a dress could help cure her own crippling phobia?

And will it help her discover unexpected romance along the way?
