​Covers are important, aren’t they?

The cover of a magazine … a cover letter … even a cover photograph on Facebook …

They all give an insight as to what might lie within.

I’m chuffed to reveal the cover of my first book, Addressed …

And while the old adage is true – you can’t always judge a book by its cover – there are definitely a few clues here with mine …

But while, yes, there are dresses, and fashion, and a boutique, and pretty flowers, and romance and Paris (the ‘City of Love’), and pink (lots of pink!), there are some bigger – and much darker – issues explored between the pages of Addressed as well.

Life isn’t always a bed of roses (even pink ones!), but is there truth in the quote by famous American costume designer to the Hollywood stars, Edith Head, that ‘you can have anything you want in life if you dress for it’?
